Doshobhuja - Story of A Girl Releases This Panchami On The Auspicious Occasion Of Durga Puja.
October 5th, 2024 : In celebration of the auspicious Durga Puja festival, acclaimed independent filmmaker Sinjan Mukherjee is set to release Doshobhuja on Panchami, October 8 and this powerful film is a tribute to women and their incredible strength, aligning with the spirit of Durga Puja—a festival that reveres the goddess Durga, the embodiment of feminine power.
Doshobhuja, meaning 'the ten-armed one,' symbolizes Durga and the countless roles women play in society. The film's narrative, conceptualized by Mukherjee and penned by Ankita Laskar, dives deep into the essence of womanhood, exploring themes of resilience, empowerment, and solidarity. With a stellar cast featuring Ankita Laskar, Soham Chatterjee, Subhodip Chakraborty, Shreya Paul, and Deblena Majumder, the film promises to deliver a captivating and emotional portrayal of women's strength.
Sinjan Mukherjee, who not only directs but also serves as co-cinematographer and editor alongside Subhodip Chakraborty, says: “Doshobhuja is a labor of love, crafted to honor the power and grace that women embody. Releasing the film during Durga Puja, a festival celebrating feminine energy, is the perfect tribute.”
The creative team behind Doshobhuja also includes @TheBongAntorjami as Creative Director and Sneha Roy as Assistant Director, with music composed and lyrics written by Priyam Mandal. The Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) footage has been captured by Sagnik Dey, while Ankita Karmakar lends her voice to the soundtrack. Visual effects are courtesy of Arindam Saha and Priyanshu Hazra.
