16-Year-Old Diya Chaturani Triumphs at FLOW Solo Dance Competition organized by Pace Creators Vizag.

In an inspiring feat of talent and dedication, 16-year-old DIYA CHATURANI, a student of Timpany School (ICSE), Visakhapatnam, emerged as the winner of the FLOW Solo Dance Competition under senior category organized by PACE CREATORS DANCE ACADEMY and studying in 11th grade under the MECA stream, which blends creative thinking with modern technology, Diya has showcased how passion and perseverance can lead to exceptional achievements.  

On interview, Diya shared, “Dance allows me to tell stories without words, connect with others, and explore the joy of movement.” She added that her inspiration stems from the creativity of choreography and the thrill of performing on stage. The ability to sync her body with music and create something beautiful has been a compelling force driving her journey in dance.  

Winning the FLOW Solo Dance Competition was a deeply fulfilling moment for Diya. “It felt like a culmination of hard work, dedication, and passion,” she reflected. Her gratitude extended to her family, mentors, and friends, whose unwavering support made her success possible. Diya emphasized that the victory wasn’t just about the trophy but about the journey, growth, and discipline that led her there. MRS. VANDANA ABRAHAM, Principal and Director of TIMPANY SCHOOL, also appreciated Diya’s remarkable achievement, calling her victory a source of pride for the school and an inspiration for her peers.  

Diya also expressed heartfelt gratitude for her school, saying, "I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our Director cum Principal of Timpany Schools, Mrs. Vandana Abraham Ma’am, whose unwavering support and guidance have truly motivated me. Ma’am’s commitment to always being there when needed, whether for advice, encouragement, or simply a listening ear, does not go unnoticed. Ma’am’s leadership creates an atmosphere where we all feel valued and empowered to succeed, and for that, I am truly thankful. It is incredibly motivating to know that my efforts are recognized, and Ma’am’s support helps me strive for even greater growth and excellence. I'm grateful to be part of a school community where creativity and hard work are celebrated!”

 

On how the competition impacted her, Diya said, “The rigorous preparation helped me focus on the finer details of my movements, while the competitive environment encouraged me to push my creative boundaries.”She credited the experience with improving her technique, confidence, and ability to perform under pressure, calling it transformative.  

One of Diya’s most cherished moments was the recognition she received from MR. DEEPAK RAJPUT, founder of Pace Creators Dance Academy. “Sharing a moment of joy with someone who has seen your growth is both humbling and uplifting,” she remarked.  

On her preferences, Diya said she loves exploring various styles, especially Hip-Hop, Bollywood, and Semi-Classical, as each brings unique expressions. Beyond dance, she excels in Mathematics and English, which she believes build a strong foundation for personal and academic success.  

Acknowledging the support system around her, Diya added, “The belief of my family and friends has kept me motivated and helped me achieve my goals.” Outside of dancing, she enjoys cooking and engaging in art and craft, activities that bring balance and creativity to her life.  

Diya praised Pace Creators Dance Academy and it's Co- founder RANJAN NAYAK for their inclusive and positive environment. “The academy has given me opportunities like DSS (DANCING SUPER STAR) and workshops that help us learn new styles and techniques,” she shared, thanking the academy’s mentors for celebrating her strengths and guiding her through challenges.
